Tony Dreams Kept Lombardi's Judith Light Up All Night Before Nomination Day

The morning the Tony nominations are announced, phones start ringing off the hook for the happy few who get nods. As usual, Broadway.com is among the callers offering congratulations and getting responses. Here are the first reactions from 2011 Tony nominees. Congrats to all!

“I mean it when I say it is an honor to be nominated. I get to do the thing I love most in the world, and then I get this! I’m so thrilled. This is so embarrassing, but I was up for most of the night. I just could not sleep. Then when I finally fell asleep this morning I missed the announcement. I was dreaming about the Tony announcements and that I was doing the show tonight and had the wrong dress on for the first scene. When I got up, I didn’t see anything on my phone so I thought, ‘Go about your day, run your errands and do what you have to do.’ Then I turned on my e-mail and it was just a floodgate! This is so special for me. I just wish the rest of our amazing cast and team was nominated as well. I go out there every night with my old friend Dan Lauria and my guys. I’ve got this whole team on my side. I feel grateful to be representing the team, but Coach Lombardi would say it’s only because of the team anything ever gets done.”
